Exhaust system in this case plays a very important role in letting out the waste gases produced after controlled combustion in the cylinders. If these gases are not let out, the performance of the vehicle would deteriorate drastically, decrease its mileage, and would also cause health issues with the passengers inside the car. Poor Fuel Economy

You are bound to face with the problem of poor fuel economy when your exhaust system is not working properly or is damaged. Make sure that your exhaust is not leaking; else it can be dangerous for your pocket, environment as well as your car, all at the same time.

Low Performance

The exhaust systems create a reverse pressure on the engine, which is essential for the engine and the car to function properly. For any damage or leakage in the exhaust system, you can be sure that the car would start to behave abnormally, and this would also cause very low performance, forget the driving pleasure.

Lights Up Check Engine Sign

When your exhaust system is damaged or is having a leakage, the sign of check engine would come up. While, this is a good thing for sure, but many people tend to pass it by for weeks and months. The bigger problem is that you wouldn’t know if there is any severe issue coming up with engine as well.

Emissions Check Test Fail

Any car to drive legally as to pass the emissions testing, and if your exhaust system is not working properly, forget about getting the emission test pass certificate. Until the emission test is approved, you won’t be able to drive legally, and this definitely would be an issue.

These are the few reasons why exhaust system is needed in the body and its dangers that you must take note of. It is also known to cause carbon monoxide poisoning in cars, where exhaust system is rusted, damaged or leaking for a long time without repairs being made.
